How far we have come - at the first combined trial of the Season Lilly only did w/t at her first dressage test and Stephen decided not to do Stadium - that was April 2011 at Grandview. She did her first cross country schooling in June. Fast forward to October 2, 2011 - Grandview Fall Horse Trial - their third full event - Dressage score was 10% better than a month earlier, a beautiful stadium round and her third clear cross country. Prior to the last fence, Lilly slipped and almost went down - Stephen almost came off but she righted and he stayed on but lost his right stirrup - the last jump - with no stirrup - the reason he was riding a bit to the left. In all three events she did this season she did not have a single refusal cross country. One run out stadium (rider error) and finished with a lot of confidence and skill to move up to pretraining next year.

Prospect's Bravestrom went to his first Gold Dressage Show on June 4, 2011 - doing his first Training Level Dressage Test and scoring a fantastic 66% - so proud of my homebred boy.

Odin was neutered a week ago -but nothing keeps him down - he chased a squirrel up the pole on wednesday and he still thinks it is up there.

Monty is now just over a month old and he and his mom moved to the mare herd this week - as you can see - he is quite happy being with all the girls and especially likes to play with Rayya - one of our 2 yr olds

Odin and Hobbes celebrate christmas differently than the rest of us. Odin thinks it is too cold and doesn't like it when hobbes is on my lap. So Hobbes decided that Strom's back would be a good place to hang out - Strom didn't really think so though.

September 5, 2010 - Congratulations to Prospect's Ebony and her new owner Janelle- they placed 3rd at the OHTA Championships and won the Novice Adult Championship. And they have only been a team for a month.

I have been remiss in posting pics as my laptop died and I couldn't post - Here are some pics of Mitchell and Asper. Our Asper leaves this weekend to be with her new owner - a very excited lovely girl who can't wait. I will try not to cry when we drop her off. Here are some pics of her last two events with Mitchell. We bought Asper as a 3 yr old in 2005 for Mitchell - they really hit their grove this year culminating with a 3rd at grandview and qualifying for the champs - she sold the next day. Now Mitch will ride her rio grande daughter and we will have to find a new mount for Stephen.

Bluestar Bronze Dressage Show - July 4, 2010 - first Training Test for Prospect's Rio Luna - She and Stephen placed 2nd out of 5 with a score of 57%. Mitchell and Atheana had a tough ride but still had 54%

Stadium Practice at Dreamcrest - The boys ride Mother and daughter - Asper (mom) is 8 and Rio Luna (daughter) is 4 and is just learning her job as an eventer. This was Luna's first off site stadium jumping (has only jumped poles at home)

Our other line of horses are Thoroughbred and Rio Grande Lines - one daughter of Rio Grande (4 yr old) and one yearling Granddaughter (by RIO V). Alot of family resemblance there too.
